Position: permanent

Salary: £27966 per annum

Working hours: 7:45 - 4:45pm Mon – Thurs and 7:45 – 12:45pm Fri

We are now seeking to recruit a driver/store person to work for an engineering manufacturing company based in Tewkesbury. The appropriate store person would be supporting the efficient operation of the Stores department by carrying out goods in/out functions, maintaining stock accuracy, supporting production through material supply and kitting, and ensuring timely and accurate deliveries to customers and sub-contractors.

Responsibilities:

  • Driving the company van to make deliveries to customers and sub-contractors
  • Carrying out Goods In duties including checking and booking in deliveries whilst maintaining traceability
  • Issuing raw material to the shop floor
  • Packing parts for customer and sub-contract deliveries
  • Controlling stock and maintaining inventory accuracy
  • Kitting parts for the Assembly department
  • Ensuring company vehicle cleanliness and road-worthiness
  • Issuing PPE and general stores equipment
  • Working with Purchasing to order stores supplies
  • Covering for the Stores Supervisor during absence
  • Operating a fork truck (training provided if required)
  • Supporting general stores and operational activities as required

Requirements:

  • Experience in stores, warehouses, or manufacturing environment
  • Good attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong organisational skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Full UK driving license
