A leading manufacturing business is currently looking for a Maintenance Engineer to join their established engineering team. This role is critical to maximising production uptime and ensuring equipment is maintained efficiently and safely.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prioritise and carry out planned and reactive maintenance tasks across the site.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic faults.
- Support daily operations by responding promptly to breakdowns and technical issues.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and ensure paperwork is completed on time.
- Ensure TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) schedules are followed and updated.
- Oversee external contractors and liaise with suppliers for parts and services.
- Maintain spare parts inventory and control maintenance-related costs.
- Participate in daily production meetings and provide updates on engineering issues.
- Maintain and update technical documentation including manuals and drawings.
- Support safe working practices and ensure compliance with all health & safety procedures.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Multi-skilled engineer with mechanical and electrical fault-finding skills.
- Formal qualification in an electrical or mechanical discipline.
- 17th Edition (or later) electrical regulations certified.
- Experience with PLC fault finding and programming.
- Familiarity with plastic injection moulding machinery (250 - 1750 tonne range) is highly desirable.
- Experience in a fast-paced production or automotive environment.
- Overhead Crane Licence is an advantage.
- Strong communication and teamworking skills.
