We are currently recruiting two experienced CNC Service Engineers (electrically biased) to join a leading machine tool service provider. As a CNC Service Engineer, you will be responsible for the installation, commissioning, breakdown repair and planned maintenance of high-value CNC machine tools nationwide, with a strong customer base across the North of England.
Key Responsibilities – CNC Service Engineers
- Install, commission, service and maintain a wide range of CNC machine tools and third-party customer machines
- Attend customer sites to diagnose and rectify faults in a timely manner
- Lead large installation projects from start to finish
- Undertake planned preventative maintenance visits
- Identify and order spare parts through the service and spares departments
- Liaise with service management, technical support and customer support teams
- Provide technical support and guidance to colleagues
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and colleagues
- Complete detailed service reports on the company system and explain all work carried out to customers
- Adhere strictly to company health and safety guidelines
- Maintain a professional appearance and manner at all times representing the company positively
Qualifications & Requirements – CNC Service Engineers
- Electrically biased engineer with relevant qualifications (NVQ Level 3, HNC, 18th Edition etc.)
- Proven field service or machine tool build/installation experience
- Strong experience working with CNC machines – Heidenhain, Siemens or Fanuc
- Ability to read electrical and mechanical drawings
- Full UK driving licence
- Happy with UK-wide travel and regular overnight stays
- Excellent customer-facing skills and professional communication
