Evening Setter / Technician
Location: Leicester
Type: Permanent, Full Time
Hours: Mon β Thu 15:00 β 23:00, Fri 13:30 β 20:00
Salary: Β£32,000 β Β£36,000 + Bonus
Responsibilities
- Evening Setter / Technician β Set up injection moulding jobs: fit and start tools, perform tool change
- Conduct first-off quality checks to confirm components meet specification
- Ensure machines are correctly prepared for production runs
- Work with existing setup sheets and follow process documentation
- Collaborate with quality & maintenance to resolve tooling/machine issues
- Maintain high standards of machine cleanliness, tooling condition, and safety
Requirements
- Previous experience as a setter or technician in injection moulding / tool setting
- Proficient in performing first-Off checks and interpreting quality specs
- Comfortable doing tool changes, fitting, and starting tools
- Good knowledge of plastics (varieties, behaviour in moulding)
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently during evening shifts
- Must be reliable and able to follow process documentation
