Job Title: Facility Security Controller Location: Midlands Pay Range/details: Up to Β£60,000 per annum + Benefits Contract Type: Permanent Omega are proud to be supporting a highly regulated organisation in their search for a Facility Security Controller. This is a key role, responsible for the overall security, safety, and resilience of the facility, its people, and its reputation. The successful candidate will bring extensive experience in security management, with the ability to manage third-party contracts, lead investigations, and deliver proportionate security projects within a complex environment. Key Responsibilities β Facility Security Controller Act as the primary point of contact for all security matters, providing expert advice to stakeholders across the business. Manage third-party security providers, ensuring high standards of service, appropriate training, and adequate staffing levels. Develop, implement, and maintain robust security policies and processes, aligned to legislation, government standards, and contractual requirements. Oversee the security clearance process (BPSS/SC), supporting compliance with contractual and regulatory frameworks. Deliver proportionate and innovative physical security solutions across the facility, driving continuous improvement and resilience. Lead investigations into security incidents, reporting on non-compliance and implementing corrective actions. Facilitate audits, inspections, and visits from government and contracting authorities, ensuring readiness and compliance. Qualifications & Requirements β Facility Security Controller Extensive experience in security risk management, physical security design, and compliance within complex or sensitive environments. Proven ability to manage third-party security contracts and develop security policies, processes, and assurance frameworks. Knowledge of relevant legislation including the IPA, DPA and Official Secrets Act. Vocational qualification such as CSMP or ASIS CPP, with membership of a recognised professional body (e.g. Security Institute, ASIS, DISA). Collaborative and adaptable leader with strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to balance business and security priorities.
