Job Description

Job Title: Project Engineer\\n Location: London\\n Pay Range/details: Competitive\\n Contract Type: Permanent\\n \\n Omega is supporting a leading fire protection contractor in the appointment of several Project Engineer to support the delivery of commercial sprinkler installation projects. The successful Project Engineer will be involved in all stages of project delivery, from initial site surveys through to testing and commissioning, ensuring all works are completed safely, efficiently, and within budget.\\n\\nKey Responsibilities – Project Engineer\\n\\nOversee procurement of labour, equipment, and fabrication after completing site surveys.\\nLiaise effectively with clients, consultants, suppliers, and site managers/supervisors.\\nWork in partnership with the Project Manager to assist with cost control of contracts and projects.\\nKeep accurate records of installation progress and monitor performance against project programmes.\\nMaintain detailed site records, including daily diaries of all operatives working on your projects.\\nEnsure full compliance on site with issued and approved method statements and risk assessments.\\nAssist with testing and commissioning of fire protection systems.\\n\\n Qualifications & Requirements – Project Engineer\\n\\nValid CSCS card.\\nBackground in commercial sprinkler contracts, wet riser systems, and dry riser systems.\\nUnderstanding of sprinkler-related standards BS EN12845, LPC Rules, and BS9990.\\nLPCB Design qualification(s).\\nSSSTS or SMSTS certification.\\nKnowledge of procurement and cost control processes.\\nJob offers are subject to security screening, DBS Enhanced, and PNC checks.\\n\\n What we can offer – Project Engineer\\n\\n25 days holiday plus BH’s with the opportunity to buy or sell up to an additional 5 days.\\nSalary Exchange Pension Scheme.\\nHealthcare Cash Plan- claim back the costs of dentist, opticians, physio, prescriptions and much more.\\nLife Insurance- 4 times annual salary.\\nEmployee Assistance Programme including mental health support, legal, financial advice and access to own Mental Health First Aid team.\\nAccess to 24/7 GP helpline and online GP surgery.\\nAccess to discounts from 1000s of retailers through PERKS such as gym membership discounts, shopping, cinema tickets, and discounts at your favourite restaurants.\\n\\n For more information on this role, please contact Harvey Clough on (phone number removed) or send a copy of your CV to (url removed) \\n \\n Candidates who are currently a Project Engineer, Assistant Project Engineer, or Site Supervisor may be suitable for this position.\\n For details of other opportunities available within your chosen field please visit our website (url removed)\\n\\nOmega is an employment agency specialising in opportunities at all levels within the Engineering, Manufacturing, Aerospace, Automotive, Electronics, Defence, Scientific, Energy & Renewables and Tech sectors
