An exciting opportunity has arisen due to site expansion and the launch of a new production line at a well established, global manufacturing operation in Bolton. We are seeking an experienced Shift Manager to play a key role in driving operational excellence, team performance, and continuous improvement within a high volume, regulated manufacturing environment.
As Shift Manager, you will be accountable for the end to end performance of your shift on a modern manufacturing line. You will lead, coach and develop your team while ensuring production targets, quality standards and compliance requirements are consistently achieved.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage and supervise all production activities during your shift, ensuring alignment with build schedules and pre SOP readiness.
- Lead, motivate and develop the manufacturing team; conduct performance reviews and address staffing or performance issues.
- Ensure product quality standards are met, responding quickly to defects or process issues.
- Monitor KPIs including output, yield and efficiency, reporting performance to senior management.
- Oversee equipment use, troubleshooting issues to minimise downtime and maximise productivity.
- Resolve operational issues such as bottlenecks, equipment failure or supply chain disruptions.
