My client is on the lookout for an experienced Commercial Gas Engineer to join the team. You will have the opportunity to work on one of their leading supermarket contracts. The role will involve carrying out planned and reactive maintenance across several retail stores, maintaining, and repairing a range of commercial heating systems and air conditioning units. Additionally, you will undertake regular planned store visits to complete reactive work, PPMs and minor repairs as requested by the customer.
Key Responsibilities – Commercial Gas Engineer
- Complete the PPM agreed schedule ensuring all necessary paperwork is completed accurately and to the laid-down procedures.
- Respond (promptly and positively) to service call/alarm requests from the central Helpdesk and assess the requirements of the job, carrying out repairs as necessary within agreed timescales and response times. Updating the call and job status afterwards.
- Carry out service and maintenance on HVAC assets including but not limited to air handling units with gas fired heating, LPHW, DX coils, heat pump systems, single split air conditioning, LPHW boilers, pumps, inverters, DHW boilers, and water chillers.
- Identify non-repairable faults in plant and machinery and promptly advise the Line Manager of findings, making recommendations regarding suitable replacement.
Qualifications & Experience – Commercial Gas Engineer
- You will hold recognized Commercial Gas qualifications – you will have at least 4 of the following qualifications: COCN1, CIGA1, CORT1, TPCP1, TPCP1A, ICPN1, CENWAT, CPA1, CDGA1, CCP1F Gas (2079) qualified.
- 17th or 18th Edition (Desirable).
On Offer – Commercial Gas Engineer
- £46,994.00 (salary including on call standby 1:4).
- 25 days + 8 bank holidays.
- Overtime.
- Travel time after ½ hour each way.
- Van, fuel card, tools, uniform, IT equipment provided.
