Job Title: FPGA Designer Salary: Up to £75,000, depending on experience Location: Stevenage (Relocation package may be available) Working Arrangement: Hybrid (4-5 days per week on-site, depending on workload and project requirements). Security Clearance: British citizen or dual UK national with British citizenship. Additional Requirements: All successful candidates will need to undergo the HMG Basic Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) checks after the offer stage, which are managed by the MBDA Personnel Security Team. The Opportunity: Our FPGA Design team is expanding, and we’re looking for several skilled FPGA Design Engineers to work on a diverse range of projects, including advanced signal processing systems (Image/Radio), core embedded processing systems, and safety-critical systems. You will be involved in all phases of the FPGA design lifecycle—from initial requirements through to validated designs. This role provides an excellent opportunity to have a significant impact on the design process, drive the use of cutting-edge technologies, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams. You will also have the chance to utilize the latest tools and technologies from leading FPGA vendors. What We’re Looking For: Ideally, you should have a degree (or equivalent qualification) and experience in most of the following areas: Developing complex FPGA architectures and design implementations using VHDL, Simulink, etc., for Xilinx, Intel, and Microsemi devices. Verifying complex FPGA implementations using VHDL and System Verilog/UVM test-bench methodologies. Proficiency with FPGA design toolsets and Mentor verification tools (QuestaSim & ModelSim). Strong experience in generating low-level software (C) for FPGA testing and integration with embedded systems. Ability to configure and document designs to a high professional standard.
