We are supporting a prominent aerospace engineering business in pursuit of an experienced composite manufacturing professional to join on a permanent basis. This is a new position supporting new product development and manufacturing processes as they evolve into main production. You'll need to be confident with composite manufacturing methods and be looking for a role where you can lead and mentor a team of Manufacturing Operators through new and evolving manufacturing processes.

Job Description:

  • Oversee production articles on the shop floor.
  • Help resolve problems to maintain flow and meet delivery targets.
  • Support structured problem-solving to optimise processes and improve manufacturing capability.
  • Recommend improvements to equipment layouts, process design and product flow.
  • Create robust work instructions that document tried-and-tested processes.
  • Provide day-to-day leadership to the operations team, mentoring associates.
  • Define equipment lists, training requirements and safety documentation for NPI.

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Level 3 qualification, or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Leadership experience or qualities.
  • Proven expertise in Manufacturing or Production support.
  • Demonstrated ability to improve processes for yield and cost improvement.
  • Knowledge of New Product Introduction (NPI) processes and/or project planning.
  • Experience with composite (CFRP/RTM) and/or high-tolerance machined parts manufacturing.
