We are recruiting for a leading global manufacturer operating within a fast-paced production environment, supplying high-quality packaging solutions to major brands. The site offers a modern, well-invested facility with a strong focus on continuous improvement, operational excellence, and employee development.

Responsibilities:

  • Carry out fault diagnosis and repairs on mechanical and hydraulic systems across production equipment.
  • Perform planned preventative maintenance (PPM) to maximise machinery reliability and efficiency.
  • Troubleshoot breakdowns and implement effective, long-term solutions to minimise downtime.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives to optimise equipment performance (OEE).
  • Maintain and service site equipment, utilities, and general mechanical systems.
  • Work collaboratively with production teams to ensure minimal disruption to operations.
  • Complete maintenance records and ensure all work is carried out in line with health & safety standards.
  • Assist with basic electrical fault finding and repair where required.

Experience / Qualifications:

  • Minimum Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Engineering (Mechanical or Electrical).
  • Strong mechanical maintenance background within a manufacturing or production environment.
  • Experience working with hydraulics, pneumatics, and mechanical systems.
  • Basic electrical fault-finding ability (desirable, not essential).
  • Proven ability to diagnose faults and carry out efficient repairs.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, shift-based environment.
  • A proactive, team-oriented mindset with strong problem-solving skills.
