Omega are supporting a leading facilities management provider in the recruitment of an experienced Maintenance Electrician to join the team to work on a leading supermarket contract at their distribution sites. The role will involve maintaining and repairing a range of electrical, mechanical plant and equipment at distribution sites, undertaking regular reactive, PPMs and minor repairs.

Key Responsibilities - Maintenance Electrician

  • Complete the Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) schedule within agreed timescales and ensure all necessary paperwork is completed accurately.
  • Respond promptly and positively to service call requests from the Helpdesk and assess the requirements of the job, carrying out repairs as necessary.
  • Prioritise maintenance and repair work to achieve agreed timescales and response times.
  • Deliver reactive and planned fire alarm system maintenance.
  • Conduct emergency lighting tests and repairs.
  • Identify non-repairable faults in plant and machinery and promptly advise the Line Manager of findings, with recommendations regarding suitable replacement.
  • Ensure that compliance documentation is always completed and up to date.
  • Advise the on-site customer (manager) of any repair and maintenance issues that are likely to affect the smooth running of the site.

Working Pattern: Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm (On call every second week)

Qualifications & Requirements - Maintenance Electrician

  • NVQ Level 3/City and Guilds 236 Part 1 + 2 or equivalent in electrical installation or maintenance.
  • City and Guilds 18th Edition.
  • AM2 / 2391.
