Our client is the world leader in the development of complex systems utilised in mission critical environments. Candidates will have the opportunity to work in an advanced manufacturing environment where pioneering new technologies to the highest possible standard is paramount.

Reporting to the Engineering Manager the Mechanisms Engineer shall undertake a high level of electro-mechanical technical design, analysis, production, and test across multiple work packages. This will involve managing and updating existing product lines and developing new mechanisms.

Duties:

  • Design and analysis of new or evolution of existing mechanism products including working with other areas of the business for system trade-offs.
  • Design for manufacture (DFM).
  • Hands-on engineering including development and build, testing and platform integration.
  • Managing multiple tasks and work packages in parallel with changeable priorities.
  • Interfacing with internal and external customers including presentations and technical reviews.
  • Authoring technical documents (e.g., design reports, procedures, test reports).

Experience/Qualifications:

  • Degree in relevant engineering discipline (mechanical, mechatronic etc.)
  • An appreciation of Design for Manufacture (DFM)
  • Knowledge of components that would be used in mechanisms.
  • Use of CAD and FEA software knowledge preferable with design/idealisation intent.

Candidates who are currently a Mechanical Engineer, Mechanical Design Engineer, Stress Engineer, Mechatronics Engineer, Analysis Engineer, Automation Engineer, Robotics Engineer and Systems Design Engineer could be suitable for this role.
