Key Responsibilities – Mechanical Maintenance Engineer - Shifts
- Your new challenge will be providing effective and efficient planned, preventative and breakdown maintenance to minimise losses to production.
- Ensure the continuous running of the production process by eliminating downtime through a safe and logical approach to fault-finding and maintenance of process and packaging equipment.
- Planned and reactive maintenance to keep downtime to a minimum.
- You’ll work with conveyor systems, materials handling, automated packaging and material processing.
- Leading mechanical repair and working with a CMMS.
- Diagnosis, resolution, and elimination of root causes.
- Implementation of minor equipment modifications in support of increased performance.
- Completion of all scheduled, planned corrective, reactive and improvement maintenance as allocated.
- Contribute to the planning and implementation of allocated annual equipment overhauls.
Qualifications & Requirements – Mechanical Maintenance Engineer - Shifts
- Apprentice trained or NVQ level 3 in a mechanical engineering discipline in maintenance engineering.
- Manufacturing Industry experience, heavy, medium or FMCG environments considered.
- Routine Preventive Maintenance, to have an understanding of a PPM schedule.
- Finding and fixing faults quickly and effectively.
- Basic welding and fabrication skills advantageous.
- A proactive approach to fault finding, a commitment to continuous improvement and personal development.
