Mechanical Fitter
Bristol
Full time Permanent Dayshift
Key Responsibilities – Mechanical Fitter
The role is to ensure assemblies are manufactured correctly to specification and on time.
• To fit and assemble machine parts accurately to engineering drawing.
• To accurately fit sub assembly parts using engineering drawings.
• Use hand tools and power tools to fit and assemble components.
• Use engineering measuring equipment where necessary to ensure components are to specification.
• Strip / prepare machines
• Install machines at customer sites as necessary
• Ensure safe systems of work are always adhered to and ensure any issues are reported immediately to management.
• Ensure all tools and equipment are maintained and stored safely.
Qualifications & Requirements – Mechanical Fitter
• Mechanical Apprenticeship or NVQ Level 3 in relevant discipline
• Proven ability to read and understand technical engineering drawings
• Pneumatics and Hydraulic knowledge advantageous.
• Excellent communication skills
