The predicted salary is between 23000 - 29000 £ per year.

Salary: £27,500 to £29,217 per annum

Location: Quedgeley

Working week: 38.75 hours per week, Monday to Friday (7am to 3.45pm Mon to Thu and 7:00 am to 02:00 pm on Fridays)

Benefits: overtime time and a half, sick pay, health plan, pension, free parking, regular overtime and training

We are now seeking to recruit a mechanical assembler for a busy manufacturing company based in Stroud. The appropriate candidate would be responsible for the assembly and testing of high precision components and associated parts for automotive and aerospace sector use.

Responsibilities of an assembler/tester will include:

  • Carry out the assembly and commissioning of repaired or new mechanical solutions to the appropriate standard and specification set in place by the relevant supporting documents.
  • Testing of assembled parts to appropriate standards or to the client's specific test requirements.
  • Completion of customer specific documentation.
  • Ensuring that the appropriate hold points/inspection points are adhered to, as 3rd party signatories/verification.
  • Understand the customer's requirements regarding deliveries which may involve excessive hours to achieve required deliveries.
  • Maintain a good level of housekeeping within the working environment.

The suitable assembler/fitter is required to have:

  • Proven experience in a production or automotive based assembly and test environment
  • Strong team-working ethic, with the drive and flexibility to maintain pace of work as priorities and requirements change
  • Strong multi-tasking abilities
  • Ability to work on own initiative
  • Willingness to be trained with new skills
  • Attention to detail
