My client is on the lookout for a Maintenance Technician to join the team. This role will include working across multiple retail stores through planned visits and responsive maintenance. You'll complete a wide range of building fabric and housekeeping repairs—including fixing floors, walls, doors, toilets, fitting rooms, basic plumbing and other general upkeep—along with carrying out and assisting minor PPMs to ensure each store stays in good working order.

Key Responsibilities – Maintenance Technician

  • Complete minor maintenance and fabric repairs.
  • Carry out a range of building fabric and housekeeping tasks—such as basic joinery, painting, basic plumbing, minor floor repairs, fixtures and fittings—delivering work safely and to a high standard.
  • Deliver planned and reactive maintenance—complete all planned and reactive tasks within agreed timescales and ensure associated documentation is accurate and up to date.
  • Respond promptly to Helpdesk requests—assess job requirements, complete repairs where possible, and escalate issues outside role scope in a timely manner.

Qualifications & Experience – Maintenance Technician

  • NVQ/City & Guilds in a relevant trade; multi-trade experience in FM, retail or public buildings.
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Ability to carry out a variety of fabric and grounds repairs, including floors, walls, doors, toilets, fixtures, and general housekeeping tasks.
