Omega has an exciting opportunity to work with one of the UK’s leading water testing specialists. This role is initially offered on a temporary basis working Monday - Friday 16:00-00:00.
Key Responsibilities – Sample Reception Technician
- Assigning accurate testing
- Handling of all activities relating to sample reception and goods in including receiving deliveries and unpacking samples, shipping of parcels/post
- Logging samples into LIMS and storage
- Some lab-based work and administration tasks
- Assisting the team in maintaining an efficient workflow through the laboratory
- Maintaining high standards of housekeeping and hygiene in storage areas including sample disposal
- To liaise with Customer Service and clients regarding any sample queries
- To despatch and document samples to subcontract labs in a timely manner avoiding deviations
Qualifications & Requirements – Sample Reception Technician
- Accurate data entry
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with accuracy
- To be able to work within set targets and goals and be able to manage expectations
- To be able to work well in a team, with an open, honest and approachable character
- To have a good eye for detail and understand the business processes
- To demonstrate flexibility and willingness to support other individuals in the team
