My client is on the lookout for an experienced Project Engineer to join their team. You will be responsible for managing the successful delivery of all assigned project work, ensuring timely completion of results within the projected profit margin.
Key Responsibilities – Project Engineer
- Active involvement in project design.
- Present project design ideas and plans.
- Agree and adhere to a programme of work.
- Manage project documentation efficiently and correctly.
- Produce and issue risk assessments and method statements.
- Procure non-major components.
- Ensure components are delivered to the site on time.
- Record variations from the agreed project scope and immediately address them with the customer.
- Monitor and address shortfalls within project deliverables at all stages of project execution.
- Address any commissioning/post-commissioning issues immediately.
- Represent the company in external project meetings.
- Deal effectively with customers and suppliers, building strong relations with both groups.
- Maintain open lines of communication with the customer, keeping them continually updated.
- Liaise with the Drawing Office and other internal colleagues as required.
Qualifications & Experience – Project Engineer
- Refrigeration & electrical / controls experience.
- Excellent IT skills: Excel, Project, Word, PowerPoint.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Effective time management.
- Strong Industry/commercial/financial awareness.
- Sound decision-making ability.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
- Demonstrable previous experience in a similar role.
- Excellent customer-facing skills.
- Good team-leading skills.
- Clear and confident presentation skills.
- Motivated and willing to employ initiative where required.
- Knowledge of refrigeration systems and relevant industry standards/regulations.
On Offer – Project Engineer
- £Salary DOE.
- 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
- Travelling throughout the UK, ideally 150 mile radius of Leeds.
- 25 days + 8 bank holidays.
- Company Pension – Employer 3% and Employee 5%.
- Private Health (Following a successful probationary period).
- Health Support Scheme (Following a successful probationary period).
- Death in Service Benefit (Following a successful probationary period).
