Omega Resource Group is recruiting for an experienced Refrigeration Engineer to join a well-established and highly organised facilities management contract supporting a major UK supermarket estate. This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer who values clear earning potential, structured working patterns, and a defined patch. You'll be part of a professional team delivering both planned and reactive maintenance across multiple retail sites.
Key Responsibilities
- Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive refrigeration works across retail stores
- Working on CO₂ refrigeration pack systems
- Diagnosing faults, completing repairs, and recommending replacements where required
- Attending scheduled store visits to complete maintenance and repair tasks
- Undertaking minor installation and system alterations within your skillset
Pay & Working Pattern
- Basic Salary: £53,319.36 (inclusive of standby payments)
- OTE: £60K - £65K (based on typical engineer earnings)
- Overtime: Paid for hours worked beyond contracted hours
- On-Call: 1 in 4 weeks (paid in addition to standby allowance)
- 45‑hour working week
Requirements
Essential
- NVQ/SVQ Level 2 or 3 in Refrigeration & Air Conditioning
- F‑Gas Category 1 (C&G 2079-1)
- Full UK Driving Licence
Desirable
- Minimum 3 years' experience in commercial refrigeration
- Experience with hydrocarbon systems (training available)
- CO₂ refrigeration experience or certification (training available)
- IPAF 3a/b (MEWP) (training available)
- Electrical fault finding / 18th Edition
