My client is on the lookout for an Electrical Engineer to join the team. They are a modern retail and e-commerce business who are looking for an electrically biased Maintenance Technician to carry out PPM within their warehouse facility based in Bradford.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain equipment such as balers, compactors, roller shutter doors and canteen equipment.
  • Sprinkler system - maintenance and repair of sprinklers and associated equipment.
  • Fire alarms testing, testing and repair of emergency lighting and portable appliance testing.
  • Maintain and update records in a timely manner.
  • Efficiently manage breakdowns, diagnose faults and carry out repairs quickly and efficiently on site equipment to minimise production losses.
  • To carry out repairs and maintenance of ventilation and air conditioning plant (excluding the refrigeration component).
  • To undertake first response to fire alarms (Full training given on site).
  • On call 1 week in 5 (building maintenance).

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Recognised apprenticeship in electrical engineering, preferably with Mechanical experience.
  • City and Guilds Level 3 in electrical engineering (Course 2380 18th Edition) or equivalent.
  • Extensive experience in installation, fault finding and repair of electrical equipment in an industrial/commercial environment.

On Offer:

  • £40K.
  • On call (standby payment - £25 days/£50 weekend), when called out = x1.5.
  • Late shift – 12pm – 8pm (client can be flexible on start and finish time, etc 10am – 6pm).
  • First 6 months will be starting on days.
  • 29 days holiday + bank holidays (option to buy more holiday).
  • Annual bonus.
  • Pension matched up to 5%.
