Omega are supporting a growing M&E contractor in their search for a Commercial Gas Engineer to provide PPM work in offices, factories, student accommodation and colleges. The business provides Mechanical, Electrical, Air Conditioning and Planned Preventative Maintenance services across the Commercial, Domestic and Industrial sectors.
Key Responsibilities β Commercial Gas Engineer- Carry out installation, servicing, and breakdown repairs on commercial gas appliances and systems.
- Diagnose faults, carry out testing and commissioning of gas systems, and complete remedial works as required.
- Ensure all work is compliant with current gas safety regulations and industry standards.
- Conduct routine PPM (planned preventative maintenance) on commercial premises.
- Read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and schematics.
- Complete job reports, gas safety certificates, and service documentation accurately.
- Work closely with other engineers, site managers, and subcontractors to ensure safe and efficient project delivery.
- Adhere to all company health & safety procedures and maintain high standards of workmanship.
- Current and valid Commercial Gas Qualifications.
- Proven experience working as a Commercial Gas Engineer.
- Valid CSCS card or equivalent.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Strong understanding of gas safety regulations, installation standards, and industry best practices.
- NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Mechanical Engineering / Plumbing & Heating.
- Company van, fuel card, and tools provided.
- Uniform, PPE, and ongoing training support.
- 22 days holiday plus bank holidays.
