An excellent opportunity has become available for a QA Technician to join a global automotive technology manufacturer at its Bolton facility. This role offers the chance to work within a highly specialised quality environment, supporting product testing, analysis and continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyse customer and field returns to identify defects and root causes.
- Carry out functional testing and dimensional measurement of new and existing products.
- Perform product reliability testing in line with customer requirements and project timescales.
- Produce clear and accurate technical reports detailing investigation findings and recommendations.
- Operate, inspect and maintain testing and measurement equipment.
- Support the creation and maintenance of testing procedures and standard operating instructions.
- Assist with customer and supplier PPAP activities.
- Support manufacturing operations with containment and quality-related activities when required.
- Work with Quality Engineers, customers and suppliers to support investigations and corrective actions.
Experience/Qualifications:
- ONC or equivalent qualification within an Engineering discipline.
- Minimum 2 years' experience within a manufacturing environment.
- Experience programming and operating CMM equipment.
- Strong understanding of GD&T and measurement techniques.
- Experience using test stands and quality inspection equipment.
- Ability to investigate faults and identify root causes.
- Strong report-writing and analytical skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and Word.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to work across quality, production and engineering teams.
