An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Electrical Test Engineer to join a market-leading manufacturing company based in Droitwich. This hands-on role offers the chance to work on complex electrical and control systems, playing a key part in ensuring high-quality equipment is thoroughly tested, commissioned, and ready for customer delivery.
Main Duties:
- Carry out comprehensive testing and inspection of equipment within a manufacturing environment.
- Connect electrical, water, and mechanical systems to facilitate testing and commissioning activities.
- Perform fault finding and diagnostics, including live PLC troubleshooting and problem resolution.
- Utilise a range of test equipment, including multimeters, oscilloscopes, and power analysers.
- Test and work safely with high-voltage electrical systems.
- Collaborate closely with engineering and production teams to resolve technical issues and improve performance.
- Complete accurate testing documentation and quality records.
- Approve and sign off equipment prior to customer dispatch.
The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate the following:
- HNC qualified (or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering.
- Strong knowledge of single and three-phase systems, along with high-power electrical circuits.
- Previous experience working with live electrical equipment.
- A solid understanding of analogue and digital electronics.
- Ability to read, interpret, and work from engineering drawings and schematics.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team environment.
- A meticulous approach with a strong commitment to quality and safety standards.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Mechanically minded with a practical, hands-on approach.
