The Role

We're looking for an experienced Commissioning Engineer to join our team. This is a varied and hands-on position involving the commissioning of equipment, plant, and systems both across the UK and internationally. You'll play a key role in ensuring systems are installed, tested, and operating safely and efficiently, while working closely with customers to achieve successful project delivery. This role would suit an engineer with a strong electrical engineering background, excellent fault-finding skills, and experience working with motor control and inverter control systems.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Commissioning equipment, plant, and systems at customer sites
  • Developing and carrying out test procedures to verify system performance
  • Performing electrical and mechanical testing, calibration, and system setup
  • Configuring and setting up electronic data acquisition systems
  • Conducting test runs, gathering results, and documenting findings
  • Diagnosing and resolving electrical and control system faults
  • Reading and interpreting technical drawings and schematics
  • Providing initial customer training on the operation of supplied systems
  • Working closely with customers to achieve system functionality sign-off
  • Travelling to customer sites throughout the UK and overseas as required

What We're Looking For

  • Proven experience in a Commissioning Engineer or similar role
  • Practical electrical engineering background
  • Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and electrical schematics
  • Experience with motor control and inverter control systems
  • Hands-on approach with excellent problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to work independently and manage workloads effectively
  • Willingness and flexibility to travel extensively within the UK and internationally
  • Strong communication skills and customer-facing experience
