My client, a global manufacturing business, is on the hunt for a dynamic and tenacious Purchasing Specialist to join their tightly knit team!
Role and Responsibilities:
- Manage and control the relationships with suppliers of raw materials, factored products, and services.
- Act as the primary customer contact for all production programme matters, providing clear updates, recovery plans, and communication of technical or commercial issues.
- Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of programmes.
- Lead regular customer reviews covering performance metrics, reliability trends, repair performance, and emerging in-service issues.
- Work closely with Engineering, Quality, and Operations to manage in-service issues affecting the company’s equipment.
Experience or Qualifications:
- Proven negotiating skills working with manufacturing suppliers.
- CIPS membership or equivalent.
- Previous experience of leading strategic sourcing methodologies.
- Proven contract management skills.
