Pay Range: up to £48k plus Package Plus Bonus OTE £50K+++

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide effective and efficient planned, preventative and breakdown maintenance to minimise losses to production.
  • Ensure continuous production by eliminating downtime through a safe and logical approach to fault-finding and maintenance of process and packaging equipment.
  • Plan and react to maintenance activities to keep downtime to a minimum.
  • Support conveyor systems, materials handling, automated packaging and material processing.
  • Lead mechanical repair work and collaborate with CMMS processes.
  • Diagnose, resolve, and eliminate root causes of equipment issues.
  • Implement minor equipment modifications to improve performance.
  • Complete all scheduled, planned corrective, reactive and improvement maintenance as allocated.
  • Contribute to the planning and implementation of allocated annual equipment overhauls.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Apprentice training or NVQ Level 3 in a mechanical engineering discipline (maintenance engineering).
  • Experience in manufacturing industry (heavy, medium or FMCG environments).
  • Knowledge of routine preventive maintenance and PPM schedules.
  • Quick and effective fault-finding and fixing skills.
  • Basic welding and fabrication skills are advantageous.
  • Proactive approach to fault finding, commitment to continuous improvement and personal development.
