Our client located in Gloucestershire who operate in the manufacturing industry are looking for an Engineering Planner to join their ever-growing team.
Key Responsibilities – Engineering Planner
- Update and develop planned and preventative maintenance regimes for process equipment in association with mechanical and electrical engineers
- Schedule resource and priorities with Engineering Supervisors and mill requirements
- Monitor and schedule regular inspections including pressure systems regulations, hoists, lifting equipment, ladder inspections, and fixed internal services
- Generate and publish Maintenance KPIs from SAP PM system as required
- Plan and manage shutdowns including supporting the organisation of spares and contract services
- Manage daily operations of the SAP PM system
- Maintain and update SAP PM system master data including equipment, assets, BOMs, and task codes
- Maintain site maintenance calendar for production machines
- Schedule, co-ordinate, and chair pre and post shut maintenance planning meetings
- Support Engineering Capital Expenditure projects as required
Qualifications & Requirements – Engineering Planner
- Good level of knowledge on mechanical engineering principles with comprehensive understanding of fitting, turning, general fabrication, rigging, and lifting of heavy loads
- Apprentice trained with an Engineering/Technical HNC or equivalent, or relevant experience in a similar role
- Previous experience establishing and maintaining planned and preventative maintenance systems
- Experience in industrial processes or related industries with rotating machinery desirable
- Good working knowledge of Health and Safety legislation and its application in a continuous process environment, plus SAP system expertise
