We have a fantastic opportunity for a rounded Electronic Design Engineer to join a thriving engineering and manufacturing business in Staverton. As an Electronic Design Engineer, you’ll support a number of areas in Test Development including Test Equipment Design, Development, build, commissioning and maintenance. Being a medium sized business, this role would suit someone who wants wide role coverage and an opportunity to develop across these areas combining hands-on support with technical engineering capability.
Duties:
- Designing, developing, and supporting automated test systems internally.
- Developing equipment for both product introductions (NPI) and ongoing production.
- Maintaining and enhancing existing test.
- Investigating and resolving test-related issues affecting manufacturing.
- Collaborating with wider engineering teams to ensure effective test coverage.
- Analysing test data to identify opportunities for system improvements.
- Developing technical documentation, work instructions, and support materials.
Background:
- Experience in design and build of electronic test equipment.
- Hardware development and integration focused on measurement capability.
- Embedded C, Python experience desirable.
- LabVIEW application development exposure.
- Experience realising test system design concepts with CAD (SolidWorks or similar).
- A good understanding of electronic test methods and fault finding.
