3 Shift Pattern: £50,000 - £55,000

  • Earlies - Monday to Thursday 6:00am-2:00pm & Friday 6:00am-12:00pm
  • Lates - Monday to Thursday 2:00pm-10:00pm & Friday 12:00pm-6:00pm
  • Nights - Sunday 6:00pm-6:00am & Monday to Thursday 10:00pm-6:00am

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and optimise high-speed production and packaging equipment to maximise uptime and efficiency.
  • Lead breakdown response activities, diagnosing faults and delivering effective first-time repairs.
  • Plan, execute and complete preventative maintenance activities in line with operational requirements.
  • Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to minimise recurring issues.
  • Accurately record maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment history using CMMS systems.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment reliability and production performance.
  • Support engineering projects, equipment upgrades and installation activities.
  • Ensure compliance with all health, safety, quality and hygiene standards.
  • Participate in internal and external audits while maintaining regulatory compliance.
  • Contribute to maintenance budget objectives and support ongoing team development initiatives.

Experience / Qualifications:

  • Experience working on high-speed manufacturing or packaging lines within FMCG, food, pharmaceutical, or similar industries.
  • Electrically qualified to minimum craft level, with ONC/HND advantageous.
  • Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills on electrical and control systems.
  • Experience programming, modifying and fault-finding PLCs, particularly Siemens S5 and S7.
  • Knowledge of AC/DC drives, inverter systems and industrial electrical installations.
  • COMPEX qualification or experience within hazardous area environments desirable.
  • 17th Edition qualification advantageous but not essential.
  • Good understanding of pneumatic and mechanical systems.
  • Strong IT and CMMS experience.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritise workload and perform under pressure.
  • Continuous improvement mindset with experience operating in KPI-driven manufacturing environments.
