Job Profile – Contracts Manager

Our client is the world leader in the development of complex systems utilised in mission critical environments. Candidates will have the opportunity to work in an advanced manufacturing environment where pioneering new technologies to the highest possible standard is paramount.

Duties – Contracts Manager

  • Day-to-day operations, organising, supporting and sharing in the team's work and goals.
  • Negotiation and management of all SSTL contractual commitments relating to projects and new business from acquisition of project to contract closure.
  • Encouraging, mentoring and motivating team.
  • Identifying contractual risk and proposing effective mitigation strategies.
  • Managing high value and complex proposals and contracts in the UK and for export.
  • Negotiating high value contracts and amendments.
  • Drafting and negotiating a wide variety of contractual documents such as NDAs, Licence Agreements, Heads of Agreement, Teaming Agreements, Memorandum of Understanding etc.
  • Contracting on a range of proposals and contracts, including single source contracts and implementing the Single Source Contracting Regulations.

Experience/Qualifications – Contracts Manager

  • Degree qualified in relevant discipline.
  • Space industry experience including European Space Agency (ESA), UKSA funding (CEOI, NSIP).
  • Experience in US Department of Defence (DoD) contracting.

Candidates who are currently a Commercial Manager, Contracts Manager, Commercial Lead, Contracts Officer, Commercial Officer, Contract Lead, Procurement Manager and Supply Chain Manager could be suitable for this role.
