Our client is an established manufacturer of precision components used within the aerospace industry, based in the Reading area. They are currently recruiting a Machinist with experience of setting and operation of centre lathes for the manufacture of precision components. The successful candidate will join the manufacturing team on a contract basis and will be required to work on a days-based shift pattern.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Setting and operation of Manual and CNC machinery
  • Change/replace tooling
  • Follow engineering drawings/ Work to specifications
  • Self inspection of manufactured components
  • Use a range of precision gauges
  • Carry out bench work when required
  • Work to the business needs when required

Experience and Qualifications:

  • Relevant engineering based apprenticeship (beneficial)
  • Experience of Manual/Conventional and CNC Machining
  • Experience within a precision engineering environment
  • Strong team ethic
