Omega are supporting a growing contractor operating within the water sector, as they transition onto the AMP8 framework, in their search for an experienced Electrical Estimator. The successful candidate will take ownership of estimates, working closely with a small, established customer base across Yorkshire and providing a high level of commercial and technical support.
Key Responsibilities - Electrical Estimator
- Prepare accurate and competitive electrical estimates for water sector projects
- Review drawings, specifications, and tender documentation
- Work closely with key customers including Kier, Bentleys and other regional contractors
- Provide cost advice and support to clients
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with a small, repeat customer base
- Support tender submissions and pricing strategies
- Work collaboratively with internal commercial and delivery teams
Requirements - Electrical Estimator
Essential:
- Proven experience as an Electrical Estimator within the water sector
- Strong knowledge of water infrastructure and AMP frameworks
- Ability to produce high-quality estimates independently
- Strong communication skills with a customer-facing approach
- Comfortable working in a fully office-based role in Castleford
- Able to hit the ground running - this is not a training role
Desirable:
- Experience working with Tier 1 contractors (e.g. Kier, Bentleys)
- Previous experience working on AMP frameworks
- Strong commercial awareness and understanding of pricing strategies
