A leading manufacturing business is currently looking for a Maintenance Engineer to join their established engineering team. This role is critical to maximising production uptime and ensuring equipment is maintained efficiently and safely.

Responsibilities

  • Prioritise and carry out planned and reactive maintenance tasks across the site.
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic faults.
  • Support daily operations by responding promptly to breakdowns and technical issues.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and ensure paperwork is completed on time.
  • Ensure TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) schedules are followed and updated.
  • Oversee external contractors and liaise with suppliers for parts and services.
  • Maintain spare parts inventory and control maintenance-related costs.
  • Participate in daily production meetings and provide updates on engineering issues.
  • Maintain and update technical documentation including manuals and drawings.
  • Support safe working practices and ensure compliance with all health & safety procedures.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Multi-skilled engineer with mechanical and electrical fault-finding skills.
  • Formal qualification in an electrical or mechanical discipline.
  • 17th Edition (or later) electrical regulations certified.
  • Experience with PLC fault finding and programming.
  • Familiarity with plastic injection moulding machinery is highly desirable.
  • Experience in a fast-paced production or automotive environment.
  • Overhead Crane Licence is an advantage.
  • Strong communication and teamworking skills.
