Our client are a well-known manufacturer who have recently invested heavily in their Milton Keynes site. They are seeking to add to their maintenance team; this role will ideally suit someone with an FMCG/Food manufacturing background.

Responsibilities - Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer

  • Provide expert engineering support to production teams, helping them hit daily targets and keep lines running
  • Quickly diagnose and repair a wide range of electrical and mechanical equipment including pneumatics, hydraulics, pumps, valves, ovens, mixers, pressure systems and refrigeration units
  • Work collaboratively with production and technical colleagues to solve problems calmly, logically and professionally
  • Proactively get to the root cause of faults and fix them in the fastest, most cost-effective way
  • Drive continuous improvement using proven tools and techniques to boost plant performance and reliability
  • Support the Engineering/Site General Manager by arranging specialist contractors or equipment when needed
  • Get involved in exciting projects – new machine trials, validation work, CI initiatives and LEAD programmes
  • Highlight recurring machinery or process issues to the management team with clear, actionable reports
  • Keep the workshop and stores organised and tidy, ensuring accurate recording of all parts and consumables
