We are now seeking to recruit a Mechanical Fitter for a busy manufacturing company based in Bristol. The appropriate candidate will be building commercial vehicles.
Responsibilities include:
- Reading and interpreting engineering drawings, diagrams, and specifications to ensure accurate fabrication and production.
- Operating various metal working equipment, including cutting machines, vertical drilling, bending machines, and grinders.
- Assembling and installing mechanical components and structures.
Requirements:
- Proven track record of producing high-quality mechanical components.
- Strong knowledge of precision fitting and fabricating techniques, including the use of measuring equipment.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
- Preferable but non-essential to have vehicle body building experience.
- Experience in welding techniques also advantageous.
