My client is on the lookout for an experienced Fire Systems Installation Engineer to join the team.

The role is responsible for designing, installing, commissioning, and maintaining fire alarm and suppression systems.

They play a crucial role in ensuring the safety of buildings and their occupants

Key Responsibilities – Fire Systems Installation Engineer

  • Conduct site surveys and fire risk assessments to determine system requirements.
  • Install, commission, and maintain fire alarm and fire suppression systems across commercial and industrial sites.
  • Carry out cabling, wiring, testing, and fault-finding activities in line with industry standards and regulations.
  • Program, configure, and commission fire alarm control panels and associated equipment.
  • Perform planned preventative maintenance, emergency repairs, and system upgrades.
  • Diagnose and rectify system faults, ensuring minimal downtime for clients.
  • Ensure all installations and servicing activities comply with relevant fire safety legislation and British Standards.
  • Produce accurate documentation, maintenance records, test certificates, and job reports.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to clients, responding to queries and resolving issues professionally.
  • Work closely with colleagues and project teams to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Maintain high standards of health & safety, quality, and customer service at all times.

Qualifications & Experience – Fire Systems Installation Engineer

  • Proven experience installing, servicing, commissioning, and maintaining fire alarm systems.
  • Knowledge of relevant fire safety standards, including BS 5839 and associated industry regulations.
  • Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills across fire detection and life safety systems.
  • Experience working with conventional, addressable, and networked fire alarm systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, wiring diagrams, and system schematics.
