We are now seeking to recruit a Fabricator Fitter to join our workshop based in Bristol. It's a permanent fabrication/fitter opportunity that would require the right candidate to be responsible for forming, fabricating, aligning, fitting and assembling steel or aluminium parts, components and equipment, to build bespoke equipment.
- Operate fabrication machinery such as guillotines, steel working machines, bandsaws.
- Assemble and fit metal components using welding, bolting, and riveting techniques, ensuring alignment and accuracy.
- Responsible for assembling, installing, maintaining, and repairing machinery, pneumatic and mechanical systems, ensuring they function efficiently and safely.
- Ensure accuracy and quality of finished products by conducting visual inspections, using measuring tools to conduct quality checks and diagnostic tests on finished work, adjusting and modifications where necessary.
- Conduct routine inspections, diagnosing mechanical issues, repairing or replacing defective components, and performing preventive maintenance to avoid breakdowns.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Qualifications:
- Apprenticeship or NVQ Level 2/3 in Fabrication and Welding, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Welding certifications (MIG, TIG, MMA).
- Forklift, overhead crane, or lifting equipment experience.
