Pay Range/details: £53,000 - £56,000 + contributory pension

Contract Type: Permanent

Shift Pattern: Early shift - Monday to Friday, 6:00am - 3:00pm

We are seeking an experienced Engineering Supervisor - Electrical Bias to join a leading FMCG manufacturer in Leeds. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a growing food production business with multiple sites, offering strong career development across diverse manufacturing operations.

Key Responsibilities - Engineering Supervisor

  • Work closely with the senior leadership team to minimise machinery downtime through effective preventative maintenance
  • Lead and manage engineering teams of 10-15 engineers across two manufacturing sites
  • Support the Head of Engineering in delivering site engineering performance targets
  • Drive improvements in plant productivity by investigating performance issues and implementing solutions
  • Identify root causes of breakdowns and equipment failures, ensuring corrective actions are taken
  • Carry out and support both reactive and proactive electrical and mechanical maintenance
  • Ensure all repairs and maintenance activities are accurately recorded to identify recurring faults
  • Maintain availability of spare parts, tools, and equipment required for efficient operations
  • Collaborate closely with production teams to minimise disruption and maximise output
  • Promote continuous improvement and best engineering practices across both sites

Qualifications & Requirements - Engineering Supervisor

  • Proven experience in an engineering supervisory role within a manufacturing or FMCG environment
  • Strong electrical bias with the ability to support mechanical maintenance activities
  • Experience managing or leading engineering teams
  • Ability to diagnose faults, carry out root cause analysis, and implement solutions
  • Strong understanding of preventative maintenance systems
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume production environment
  • Engineering qualification (Apprenticeship, NVQ Level 3, HNC/HND or equivalent) desirable
