We're recruiting for a global name in engineering who are continuing to grow across all industries. We're currently looking for a qualified electrical/electronic engineer to join as a field service engineer representing the company with clients across the UK.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform commissioning, replacement, preventive, and corrective maintenance on intelligent emergency lighting systems and central battery installations.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues remotely and on-site, providing effective solutions and collaborating with specialist teams.
- Proactively identify opportunities to expand service offerings and improve customer operations by eliminating pain points.
- Deliver exceptional customer service with a "first-time-right" approach, planning and executing work to meet expectations, timelines, and quality standards.
- Prepare materials, parts, and equipment; complete accurate documentation, reports, and customer sign-offs.
- Recommend proactive corrective actions, prevent issue recurrence, and drive continuous improvement in processes and ways of working.
Experience/Qualifications:
- Qualifications in Electrical/Electronic Engineering.
- At least 2 years' professional experience in maintenance, commissioning, or troubleshooting of electrical installations (intelligent/emergency lighting experience preferred).
- Solid knowledge of electronics, comfortable using tools like computers, tablets, and Microsoft Office.
- Customer-focused with a representative appearance, strong organisational skills, autonomy, and high motivation in dynamic environments.
- Full UK driving licence and flexibility for travel across the UK & Ireland, including occasional weekends or out-of-hours work.
