Fabricator/ Fitter Salary: Β£35100 Working 37.5 hours per week over a 5-day week (Mon- Fri); with core hours being 10:00 to 15:00 Location: Bristol Type of position: permanent We are now seeking to recruit a Fabricator Fitter to join workshop based in Bristol. It's a permanent fabrication/ fitter opportunity that would require the right candidate would be responsible for forming, fabricating, aligning, fitting and assembling steel or aluminium parts, components and equipment, to build bespoke equipment. Operate fabrication machinery such as guillotines, steel working machines, bandsaws. Assemble and fit metal components using welding, bolting, and riveting techniques, ensuring alignment and accuracy. Responsible for assembling, installing, maintaining, and repairing machinery, pneumatic and mechanical systems, ensuring they function efficiently and safely. Ensure accuracy and quality of finished products by conducting visual inspections, using measuring tools to conduct quality checks and diagnostic tests on finished work, adjusting and modifications where necessary. Conducting routine inspections, diagnosing mechanical issues, repairing or replacing defective components, and performing preventive maintenance to avoid breakdowns Working to technical drawings Skills and Experience Previous experience in a fabrication / fitting or metalworking environment. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality. Apprenticeship or NVQ Level 2/3 in Fabrication and Welding, Engineering, or a related discipline. Welding certifications (MIG, TIG, MMA).
