Our client is a global leader in the design and manufacture of rotary aerospace systems used around the world. They are currently looking for an Avionics Design Engineer to join their team. Duties – Avionics Design Engineer
- Lead the design and integration of avionic systems to meet customer needs and certification standards.
- Translate concepts into detailed, compliant designs aligned with OEM Type Certificates.
- Manage all avionic activities within a multi-disciplinary environment, ensuring timely delivery.
- Capture and interpret customer requirements, providing guidance to optimise design and production.
- Apply Systems Engineering practices, tools, and methods throughout the project lifecycle.
- Support risk management, testing, and certification processes, including ground and flight testing.
- Liaise with customers, suppliers, and production teams to ensure seamless project execution.
- Maintain technical competency and stay updated with latest technology developments.
Experience/Qualifications – Avionics Design Engineer
- Knowledge of aircraft systems, software safety analysis, and certification standards (FAR/CS 27 & 29, EASA/CAA Part-21J).
- Experience with AutoCAD and other electrical/harness design tools.
- Experience with design lifecycle management and configuration control.
- An engineering degree or equivalent experience.
