Due to the nature of this position, the successful candidate must be able to obtain SC Security Clearance.

Our client is a global leader in the design and manufacture of rotary aerospace systems used around the world. They are currently looking for an Avionics Design Engineer to join their team. Duties – Avionics Design Engineer

  • Lead the design and integration of avionic systems to meet customer needs and certification standards.
  • Translate concepts into detailed, compliant designs aligned with OEM Type Certificates.
  • Manage all avionic activities within a multi-disciplinary environment, ensuring timely delivery.
  • Capture and interpret customer requirements, providing guidance to optimise design and production.
  • Apply Systems Engineering practices, tools, and methods throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Support risk management, testing, and certification processes, including ground and flight testing.
  • Liaise with customers, suppliers, and production teams to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Maintain technical competency and stay updated with latest technology developments.

Experience/Qualifications – Avionics Design Engineer

  • Knowledge of aircraft systems, software safety analysis, and certification standards (FAR/CS 27 & 29, EASA/CAA Part-21J).
  • Experience with AutoCAD and other electrical/harness design tools.
  • Experience with design lifecycle management and configuration control.
  • An engineering degree or equivalent experience.

Candidates who are currently an Avionics Engineer, Electronics Engineer, Avionics Systems Engineer, Aircraft Electronics Engineer, Aerospace Systems Engineer, Flights Systems Engineer, Embedded Systems Engineer (Avionics), Hardware Engineer and Systems Integration Engineer could be suitable for this role.
