Role Overview

Our client, a well-established and growing specialist provider of steam and process control solutions, is seeking an Area Sales Manager to drive growth across the South/Southwest of England. This is a field-based role managing an established territory, developing existing accounts, and identifying new business opportunities across a wide range of industrial sectors. You will play a key role in delivering sustained growth while building strong, long-term customer relationships.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and develop relationships with existing key accounts
  • Identify and maximise upselling and cross-selling opportunities
  • Generate and convert new business opportunities across the territory
  • Develop and execute strategic territory sales plans
  • Achieve and exceed agreed revenue and growth targets
  • Monitor market trends and competitor activity
  • Maintain accurate CRM records, forecasts, and pipeline reporting
  • Provide weekly reports on customer visits and sales activity
  • Collaborate closely with internal sales and technical support teams
  • Represent the business professionally at all times
