We are recruiting for a Lightning Protection Supervisor at Contracts Manager level, based at our Brentwood, Essex office. This is not a traditional site-based supervisor role. Instead, it is an operational and contract delivery position, responsible for overseeing multiple lightning protection and earthing projects across London and the South East.

Omega Red is a specialist design, installation, testing and maintenance contractor within the electrical earthing, lightning protection and height safety market. Operating nationally, the business focuses on providing top quality safety-critical services for the protection of people, buildings and infrastructure.
The role: The Lightning Protection Supervisor role combines contract oversight, labour coordination, commercial support, and operational planning. You will manage the full lifecycle of projects from planning and resourcing through to commercial close-out, ensuring that delivery is efficient, compliant, and commercially sound.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee multiple lightning protection and earthing contracts from planning to completion
- Coordinate labour, subcontractors, and materials across live projects
- Liaise with clients, main contractors, and internal teams to ensure scope and programme alignment
- Track project progress, material usage, and labour productivity against budget
- Raise and manage variations, support final account preparation, and liaise with the commercial team
- Ensure RAMS, site reports, and all project documentation are issued and maintained
- Use Monday.com, iPads, and other digital tools to manage site workflows and reporting
- Support site operatives with technical issues and ensure adherence to safety and training standards
What you'll need:
- Experience in lightning protection, earthing, electrical, or similar contracting environments
- Proven ability to manage multiple live projects and teams simultaneously
- Strong commercial awareness - able to identify, track and support variations and cost impacts
- Confident using digital platforms for project management and reporting (e.g. Monday.com, MS Office, site apps)
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Full UK driving licence
Desirable Qualifications:
- NVQ Level 3 in Lightning Protection Installation or equivalent
- SSSTS / SMSTS, IOSH or NEBOSH certification
- Experience in contract administration
- CSCS card (Supervisor or Skilled Worker level)
