Omega Red Group is offering a two-year apprenticeship, leading to a Level 2 NVQ Diploma in Accessing and Rigging Occupations: Lightning Conductor Engineer. Omega Red is a specialist, design, installation, testing and maintenance contractor, within the electrical earthing, lightning protection and height safety market. Operating nationally, the business focuses on providing top quality safety-critical services for the protection of people, buildings and infrastructure.

The Role:

As an Apprentice Lightning Protection Operative, you’ll work alongside qualified Engineers, learning how to install, maintain, and repair lightning protection systems on a variety of client sites. This dynamic role offers a mix of practical experience, teamwork, and technical skill-building, setting you up for a rewarding career in electrical earthing and lightning protection.

The Apprenticeship Experience:

  • Hands-on training with experienced Lightning Protection Engineers
  • Structured class-based learning through the Construction Industry Training Board (CITB)
  • Block study periods requiring occasional overnight stays
  • At least 20% of your working hours spent on dedicated training and study
