The role
We are seeking a reliable and organised Part-Time Stores Person to support the efficient operation of our Head Office and stores function. This role is responsible for maintaining stock accuracy, managing goods in and out, ensuring compliance with safety and maintenance requirements, and supporting the wider operational team. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring materials, equipment, and vehicles are available, safe, and ready for use across the business.
Please note: This is a part-time role working 3 days per week.
Key Responsibilities
- Pick materials from pick lists and manage stock levels efficiently.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe store environment.
- Conduct regular stock checks and six-monthly stock takes.
- Process material returns, requisitions, orders, and receipts.
- Order materials and request new stock items as required.
- Perform monthly van checks and PAT testing for office and van equipment.
- Complete fire alarm checks, emergency lighting tests, and legionella checks.
- Update all safety and maintenance records in group files.
- Conduct six-monthly inspections of branch harness equipment, ladders, and steps.
- Arrange calibration for test instruments and perform online calibration of CAT locators.
- Support deliveries for site-based teams when required.
- Wrap pallets and organise shipments for various product supply orders.
- Carry out general maintenance duties at head office, including lawn mowing, litter picking, window cleaning, and minor repairs.
