One of our clients is looking for an ICT Commissioning Support Lead, preferably based in Aberdeen or elsewhere in the UK, to work on site in Aberdeen.
Assignment Description
- Monitor the quality of discipline-related documentation on design solutions and all engineering activities within EPC towards ICT/SAS disciplines.
- Ensure all necessary information to execute commissioning and start-up is made available from the Contractor side.
- Ensure the completion system (PIMS) has the necessary data for system and sub-system definition, system boundary mark-up, and commissioning procedures development.
- Review all FAT, SAT, and vendor commissioning procedures.
- Manage the Commissioning ICT team.
- Ensure discipline activities comply with company framework, contract requirements, Project Execution Plan and regulations.
- Facilitate cooperation, communication and alignment between the base organization and the project.
- Work with PDE operations team and the client to provide guidance on scope of work definition.
- Coordinate with the PDE Regulatory Compliance & Verification Lead and contractors to define and execute compliance and verification activities.
- Review and comment documentation prepared by contractor for the ICT discipline.
- Monitor contractor’s ICT discipline activities and deliverables for regulatory and contract compliance.
- Ensure compatibility and functionality of existing and new vessel systems and equipment.
- Oversee development of relevant documentation for ICT systems.
- Participate in work pack review sessions and ensure all work packs are complete.
- Review certifications from Certifying Authority and assist in resolving design issues.
- Review documentation according to the Document Distribution Matrix.
- Participate in design reviews, HAZID, HAZOP, and other safety studies.
- Attend meetings and inspections worldwide as required.
- Close assigned TQ’s and other action items in PIMS or formal MOM.
- Collaborate with key disciplines in the FEED Management Team.
- Review and comment plans for FAT for all ICT/SAS equipment and participate in tests as necessary.
- Call off assistance from discipline resources to maintain quality and progress.
- Report delays or failures to the Commissioning Manager and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
Qualifications
- Master’s level technical education or higher in ICT.
- Minimum 15 years of relevant experience in ICT discipline with at least two recent projects as ICT discipline lead.
- Experience with SAS Engineering and long commissioning background is advantageous.
- Experience on modification projects and/or FPSO redeployment strongly desired.
- Leadership and interpersonal skills for a multidisciplinary project team.
- Experience in Middle East/Southeast Asian shipyards is an advantage.
- Organized, systematic, and flexible.
- Fluent English written and verbal skills.
