Overview
We are now seeking to recruit a machine setter to work for an engineering company based in Tewkesbury. The appropriate candidate would be responsible for setting and operating Rollomatic grinding machines. Operate various types of powered grinders/sanders to remove burs, protrusions etc. on surfaces to ensure parts meet customers\’ specifications and production standards.
Responsibilities
- Setting and operating Rollomatic grinding machines to produce consumable medical products.
- Read, interpret and understand engineering drawings, standards, geometrical tolerances and surface finishes.
- To ensure all components are machined to drawings dimensions and tolerances.
- Use cleaning stations for removal of cutting oils etc.
- Visual quality inspections.
Qualifications/Experience
- Experience using multi-axis precision grinding machines (desirable)
- Experience in programming or ability/willingness to learn.
- Manufacturing experience within a high precision industry (Essential)
- Experience using precision measuring equipment (Essential)
- Comfortable working to tight deadlines and tolerances.
