Base pay range Pay Range/details: Competitive Salary + Benefits Contract Type: Permanent Our client, is recruiting a Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join its experienced engineering team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on all production equipment to minimise downtime.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical and electrical faults, carrying out repairs effectively.
  • Ensure all equipment is maintained in accordance with manufacturer's guidelines and industry best practices.
  • Identify areas for improvement within the production process and propose solutions to increase efficiency and reduce waste.
  • Assist in the implementation of process improvement projects, including machinery upgrades and layout changes.
  • Adhere to all health and safety regulations, promoting a culture of safety within the engineering team.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety standards, maintaining hygiene and cleanliness in all engineering activities.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance work, including completed tasks, spare parts used, and any necessary follow-up actions.
  • Utilise the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) to log all maintenance activities and generate reports as needed.
  • Work closely with production and quality teams to ensure engineering support aligns with production goals.
  • Provide training and support to junior engineers and apprentices as required.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • NVQ Level 3 in Engineering (Mechanical or Electrical) or equivalent; HNC/HND or higher in an engineering discipline is desirable.
  • Proven experience as a Multi Skilled Engineer.
  • Good understanding of problem solving and modern lean manufacturing techniques.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with colleagues at all levels, from production floor to management and directors.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail with a hands-on approach.
  • Excellent team player, proactive, inquisitive, and flexible attitude to work.
  • Ability to support weekend and bank holiday working when required.
  • Motivated, diligent, logical, and analytical.
