Manufacture parts to specified tolerances and quality standards. Carry out in-process inspection and measurement of finished components. Accurately complete inspection records and quality documentation. Use the IFS ERP system to fulfil daily production responsibilities. Communicate effectively with Supervisors, Managers and Quality personnel. Report any production, quality or equipment issues promptly. Maintain high standards of housekeeping and organisation within the work area. Take a proactive approach to health and safety, ensuring compliance with company procedures. Support operational requirements by remaining flexible and adaptable to changing production demands. Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
Skills & Experience
- Essential Previous experience, setting and operating CNC machinery in a manufacturing environment
- Experience in one or more of the following: CNC Milling CNC Routing CNC Turning (Lathes)
- Experience operating Haas and/or Fanuc-controlled machines.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
- Understanding of M and G codes.
- Experience working to tight tolerances.
- Knowledge of manufacturing quality standards and inspection processes.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Good communication and problem-solving skills.
- Desirable Engineering apprenticeship, Level 3 NVQ, or City & Guilds qualification in a relevant discipline.
- Experience machining a range of materials including aluminium, composites and plastics.
- Experience using inspection equipment such as micrometers, verniers, shadowgraphs and CMM equipment.
- Understanding of quality assurance and continuous improvement principles.
Working Hours
Double Days (Weekly Rotation) Early Shift Monday to Thursday: 6:00am - 2:00pm Friday: 6:00am - 11:30am Late Shift Monday to Thursday: 2:00pm - 10:00pm Friday: 11:30am - 5:00pm
